Living in Northern California just south of Silicon Valley, Sylvia uses traditional oil paint to capture the surrounding changing natural world. Combining digital imagery she pushes the boundaries of abstractness with the texture of paint and different surfaces to capture the spirit of the disappearing natural world.
Having been brought up overseas in Europe and Asia, her background has created an international aesthetic in her work. And after living in America, Sylvia's unique approach to art has been influenced by her surroundings of her current world. Her pieces are not only a reflection of her own creative vision, but also of the changing landscapes and environments around her. In addition to traditional oil paint, Sylvia also incorporates digital imagery and collage transformation into her work, allowing her to create pieces that are both abstract and textured.
