Living in Northern California just south of Silicon Valley, Sylvia uses traditional oil paint to capture the natural beauty of this rapidly changing region. Her goal is to push abstract boundaries with form and texture embodied in the spirit of this natural world.

 

Growing up overseas in Europe and Asia, her background has fostered an international aesthetic in her work. Her family’s return to America after more than a decade abroad enhanced Sylvia's unique approach to art, and settling in Northern California has profoundly influenced her work through its beautiful surroundings. Her pieces are a reflection of her creative vision and the changing landscapes and environments around her.
